About Me

Something-borrowed-about

So what’s to know about me, aside from being a serial wedding go-er? I’m in the world of digital advertising, and I love the social space.  I’m doing this blog for a bit of fun after attending 15 weddings in 2011 and 8 in 2010, and I hope that it’s at least helpful and interesting to some of you!

I’m a budding photographer in my own time, and am increasingly inspired by the talented wedding photographers out there. I am really enjoying the exposure to great photographers as my blog grows. As such, I’ve introduced “Inspire Me Wednesday” where I will try to feature a different photographer each week, with a link to their blog/website.

This year, so far I have had three weddings, with still seven to go. In January, my sister-in-law married in Melbourne, with my beautiful niece as flower girl.  And my mentor and great friend Ben married the stunning Natalie in March, in Middle Park. We also had one of the most spectacular weddings I’ve been to yet, in Adelaide earlier this year. The year is already speeding ahead, and I can’t wait for more of my wonderful friends to tie the knot! So far this year another five close friends have gotten engaged, with one planned for November in Perth, and one having two big weddings in Melbourne and then Bangladesh! Among my other exciting wedding adventures will be India, Bali and hopefully the USA for my long time friend Matt, and his bride to be Megan. If all fails in getting to the USA for his wedding, they are at least coming to Australia for their honeymoon!

I always welcome feedback and ideas, so don’t be shy! Email me at info@something-borrowed.com.au with any ideas or topics you’d like to see featured!
